About West Grove Downs

West Grove Downs, formerly the Irving Farm,  was built in 1977.  This attractive standardbred training facility has hosted PA Fair Racing in the past and has been in business for 33 years.  Managed by Brian Roland, West Grove Downs is conveniently located to all major East Coast U.S. Racetracks, traveling layovers are welcomed.

Some of the many amenities include 1/2 mile stone dust training track, indoor walkers, wash stalls, beautiful paddocks and returning in 2010, pond swimming.   One of the many conveniences of this rural facility is onsite availability of blacksmiths and veterinarians, and close location to top-notch horse feed and supply companies.   Many fine horses have been trained and developed at the facility including the 2008 PA Sire Stakes 2-year-old trotting champion Broadway Paige.
